Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Assistant Technology Coordinator performs various IT and Help Desk tasks in support of the school’s daily activities for faculty and students. This includes network and hardware management for the school and other hardware and software-related help desk issues for students. This position works closely with the Technology Committee. The position will also be a partner in strategic technology plan discussions and may assume other tasks and responsibilities as assigned by the Technology Coordinator.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Work with the Technology Committee using existing software to maintain hardware inventory
• Collaborate with the Technology Committee and off-site IT Support to oversee yearly cleaning, updating, and repairing
of devices and equipment
• Perform on/off-boarding procedures for employees and students, including training and acclimating employees to
hardware and software
• Collaborate with off-site IT Support in designing, installing, and repairing networks
• Troubleshooting system failures related to server and network systems
• Partner with off-site IT Support in managing and resolving ticket requests
• Provide ongoing advice and support to students to resolve general troubleshooting for hardware/ software problems
• Provide local support and troubleshooting for the organization’s information and database systems
• Assist with student and staff training presentations
• Provide support on implementing tech equipment in the classroom
• Manage and maintain printers and copiers

Knowledge
• Strong command of all Microsoft Office and Google Workspace programs
• Knowledge of various hardware and operating systems, such as Windows OS, Mac iOS, Chromebooks, iPads, and
Android tablets
• Knowledge of network, server, and cloud protocols, such as Microsoft Active Directory and Azure
• Previous experience managing and auditing device security systems, such as malware and anti-virus scanning

Education and Experience
Minimum Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in IT, IS, Computer Science, or another relevant field
• Minimum 2 years experience working in an IT position, overseeing helpdesk, hardware, server, & network issues
• Previous experience with best practices, planning, and managing of networks preferred
