Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This role reports to the Chief Financial Officer of Creighton Prep and supports the school’s mission and business operations by managing all human resource functions (including payroll), assisting with tuition collection and financial aid processing, and managing other business / nonprofit compliance matters.Responsibilities:
Human Resources
-Assist in the preparation and updating of staff and faculty handbooks
-Design and conduct employee onboarding and termination processes, in collaboration with employee supervisors.
-Design and monitor staff evaluation process
-Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws
-Design and enforce school employment policies and practices
-Assist in the development, distribution and collection of faculty contracts
-Perform all benefits administration, including health, dental and vision insurance, 403(b) retirement plan, long-term disability, and life insurance benefits
-Manage Creighton Prep’s HR compliance with the Archdiocese of Omaha’s Safe Environment program
-Advise school management and assist in significant employee disciplinary matters
-Process payroll biweekly, including posting journal entries
Tuition and Financial Aid
-Set up tuition accounts in FACTS Tuition Management
-Apply financial aid, grants, and scholarships to tuition accounts
-Work with families to design payment plans, adjust as needed
-Monitor and follow up with overdue tuition accounts
-Post tuition and financial aid journal entries
Other
-Participate and assist in the annual financial statement audit process
-Other business / nonprofit compliance matters, including (but not limited to) property tax exemptions, nonprofit biennial reporting, etc.
-Other duties and tasks as assigned
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities-Significant background (no less than five years) in human resource or accounting field. Preference to candidates with experience in both accounting and human resources.
-Demonstrated strength in cultivating a positive and healthy working environment.
-Demonstrated independent judgment and initiative; ability to exercise leadership, work both independently and as part of a team.
-Precise attention to detail.
-Ability to think strategically, plan effectively, and direct and manage multiple projects.
-Preference for strong communication skills.

Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, or related field preferred.
