Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Margaret Mary, a K-8 elementary school in the heart of Omaha, seeks a middle school math teacher for the 2023-24 school year. This position is teaching Math and Advanced Math coursework to students in middle school, with possible literature responsibilities for 8th students. Our students are dedicated, looking to the future, and eager to learn. We are looking for someone who is student-centered, seeks knowledge and professional development, and would be collaborative with a strong and innovative 7th & 8th grade teaching team.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A strong background in Algebra or a willingness to learn is desired. A middle school or secondary endorsement in math preferred, but a strong math background within a K-8 elementary endorsement could also be the right fit. Knowledge and proficient use of Google Classroom management and other digital software would be expected.

Education and Experience
Degree in education and certification in K-8 elementary education or secondary/middle school education (math endorsement). Alternative or Provisional certifications will be considered for applicant with the right skill set for this position. Will be required to complete certification in Archdiocesan Safe Environment program.
