Principal Duties and ResponsibilitiesPOSITION OBJECTIVE: Oversee the creation, development and implementation of PK-8 STEAM across our three schools; create a STEAM environment of curriculum and instructional pedagogy to ensure high school and college readiness; supervise and evaluate the delivery of instruction, for the purpose of advancing student performance in PK-8 STEAM.
Mentor and work with teachers around best practices in education.

Oversee the establishment of PK-8 STEAM curriculum to ensure high school and college readiness for all students and supervises the implementation of that curriculum through administrator and teacher supervision and evaluation
Conducts Needs Assessments to determine short and long range projects, insights on curriculum, schedule, infrastructure, evaluation, communication, policies, professional development, and other areas
Establish STEAM administrative flowchart, expectations, budget, and timelines
Conduct meetings with teachers and administrators
Determine, plan, and implement professional development PK-8, including professional development timeline, support, courses in the areas of Technology, Assessment for Learning, Differentiated Instruction, Equity, STEAM Inquiry, and other
Determine appropriate assessments to provide data on student achievement, to include benchmark assessments and interventions
Coordinate K-8 student intervention program in STEAM
Provide STEAM enrichment opportunities for PK-8 students

Work with teachers to improve the quality of their lessons and the quality of students' education.
Serve as a mentor and role model, helping teachers stay fresh and use the latest techniques and technologies in their classrooms.
Education and Experience
Bachelors and/or Masters Degree in Education or related field
Valid Nebraska Administrator and/or Teacher Certificate or ability to obtain one
Previous, successful experience as an principal/lead teacher of an elementary or secondary school. Proven expertise in leading all facets of a Catholic school program.
