Principal Duties and Responsibilities

> Serves as the key point of contact for Marian’s advancement efforts.
> Manages all aspects of fundraising initiatives, including the annual fund, capital campaigns, endowment, special projects and planned giving.
> Fosters engagement with all benefactors.
> Engages directly with major gift donors and prospects; maintains an aggressive schedule of face-to-face donor and prospect visits with assigned portfolios to establish and strengthen relationships and solicit major gifts.
> Builds a comprehensive program that broadens Marian’s donor base and leads to increased annual fund revenue and giving across the fundraising spectrum.
> Interfaces with the president weekly on assigned projects to develop strategies for engagement.
> Provides visionary leadership and strategic direction for the Advancement Team in alignment with the mission of the school.
> Leads the development subcommittee of the board of directors.
Oversees the marketing and communications team. Including digital media coordination and strategy.
> Leads the Advancement Team, responsible for many major events throughout the year.
> Manages and coaches members of the Advancement Team, ensuring a team commitment to excellence and a culture of continual improvement.
> Serves as a member of the school’s leadership team, ensuring that the Advancement Team’s goals and activities are aligned with school priorities and operations.
> Works closely with the business office to assure proper reconciliation of accounts and financial budgeting/accounting.

> Leadership skills, personal presence and ability to quickly establish trust and instill confidence
> Strategic thinker and approach to problem-solving
> Ability to maintain confidentiality
> Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
> Organized, energetic, flexible, detail-oriented
> Computer proficiency required; familiarity with Raiser’s Edge preferred

Education and Experience
> Bachelor's degree
> Eight to 10 years of fundraising experience with proven results
