Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Develop age appropriate physical education lesson plans.
Supervising practical physical education lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes.
Evaluate the performance of students throughout the year.
Attend parent teacher conferences.
Maintains a cooperative working relationship with the Principal, staff, and public.
Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
Communicates clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge of PK-8th grade NE physical education standards
A valid Nebraska teaching certificate with PE endorsement
Communicate and interact with a diverse community
Plan and coordinate field day
Properly assess fitness levels and report on progress
Establish and enforce rules of safety
Maintains accurate records

Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Education (required)
Endorsement in PE (preferred)
Valid NE teaching certificate
Safe Environment training
