Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Mercy High School, an all-girls Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Mercy, is accepting applications for the position of Head Volleyball Coach. Mercy is a mission-driven organization with a diverse student population focused on academic excellence and the inspiration of young girls to become confident Women of Mercy who embody faith, knowledge, and compassionate service.
We are looking for a passionate, dynamic, experienced leader who can inspire and develop student-athletes both on and off the court, fostering a positive team environment and commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute effective practice sessions that focus on skill development, teamwork, and strategy
- Lead the team in competitions, providing positive guidance and in-game adjustments
- Develop and implement strength and conditioning programs
- Maintain open communication with students, parents, and school administration
- Uphold and promote values of sportsmanship, respect, and integrity
- Oversee offseason conditioning for student athletes
- Manage specific events - Open House, Summer Camps, Etc.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Committed to the mission of Mercy High School
- Coaching experience, dedication, and passion
- Strong rapport with students, faculty, staff, and parents
- Maintain consistent communications with the Athletic Director
- Offseason conditioning for student athletics

Education and Experience
- Certifications in CPR and First Aid
- Experience coaching & certification
- Excellent communication skills
- Safe Environment Training - required
