Catholic School Educators to be Honored at Annual Dinner
Each year, the Archdiocese of Omaha hosts a dinner recognizing outstanding teachers and administrators throughout the Catholic school system.
The 41st Annual Archbishop’s Dinner for Education will take place at the Embassy Suites, La Vista, on Thursday, Sept. 20, 2018. This annual celebration of Catholic education provides an opportunity to publicly recognize the dedication of individuals within the Catholic school system, to thank those who support Catholic schools, and to raise scholarship funds for low-income students to attend Catholic schools.

Administrators of the Year
William Huben, St. Wenceslaus School, Omaha
Andy Bishop, Holy Family School, Lindsay
Educators of the Year – Elementary
Stacey Fanciullo, St. Bernadette School, Omaha
Jan Starman, St. Boniface School, Elgin
Educators of the Year – Secondary
Rev. Stephen Plank O.S.B., Mount Michael Benedictine School, Elkhorn
Eric Kessler, St. Francis High School, Humphrey
Educators of the Year – Special Education and Inner City
Funded by the Maginn Family Foundation
Jenny Bradley, Holy Name School, Omaha
Cheryl Morgan, Sacred Heart School, Omaha
Proceeds from the dinner are used to provide a $5,000 gift to each 2018 honoree and to fund scholarships for families in need. Scholarship dollars raised are administered by the Children’s Scholarship Fund of Omaha.
Chairpersons for this year’s dinner are Kelly and Britt Thedinger assisted by co-chairs Amy and Todd Foje. Honorary chairpersons are Suzie and Mike Lawler. The evening will begin with a social hour at 6 p.m. followed by dinner and a program at 7 p.m. Tickets for the event are $150 or $65 for patrons under the age of 35.
