Want to make a difference?

Tell us how - on video!

This year marks our second annual community service challenge!

Last year called the "Awaken Greatness in the Community" Challenge, we've switched up the name but rules remain the same.

Students at any Catholic school within the Archdiocese of Omaha can create and submit videos outlining what they would do in our collective community to help others. Submissions will be accepted September 16 through October 14. One ambitious student winner will receive up to $1,000 to bring the idea to life, as well as a $200 Amazon gift card for his/her submission and dedication to serving others.

More about the contest

2018 Contest Winner

Eliana Lee, fourth grader from St. Thomas More, submitted an idea to help homeless in the Omaha community with "blessing bags" that included toiletries and necessary supplies as well as affirmations and positive notes. She was able to assemble and distribute nearly 200 bags to local residents. What an impact!

"I felt happy and thankful that we were able to give things that people really need. It was fun to put together bags with my family and classmates and to meet the people at Stephen Center. Thank you for the money to make the bags."

"This project was a truly inspiring experience and we plan to do more service work as a family in the near future. We hope that the contest becomes an annual event, so more children like Eliana and her classmates can see how service work can bring happiness and God's love to people in the community."
