Religious Education Symposium 2020

Held at Marian High School in Omaha, this event is free of charge and sponsored by our Catholic Schools Office and the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis.

Join us to explore the new religion standards, encounter ways to teach the Catholic faith and engage with colleagues.


What will the day look like?

This is a time for religion teachers to unpack and discuss the new standards. There are also breakout sessions where experts will present on some of the most promising methods, models and directions for bringing children, youth and families to committed discipleship and ever greater intimacy with Christ. Attendees will also have a chance to visit vendors.

Registration begins at 8 a.m., and the event will run from 8:40 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Lunch is provided.

-Teaching the Faith in the Classroom

-Pastoral Guidelines for Same Sex Attraction and Gender Dysphoria
-Preparing for the use of IFG: ACRE

Who should come?

This symposium is geared toward all religion teachers in the archdiocese as well as having relevant content for leaders in catechetical ministries (DREs, clergy, youth/campus ministers).
