Principal Duties and Responsibilities

-Incorporate all standards established by the Archdiocese of Omaha and Nebraska Department of Education

-Positively fosters students’ self-esteem

-Communicates with parents and school staff on student progress

-Assesses student learning and adapts instruction based on student data and needs

-Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve instructional effectiveness

-Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Collaborates well with 7/8 math teacher to ensure proper scope and sequence of instruction

· Flexible in instruction; thrives in differentiated, Individualized, and leveled instruction

· Planning and executing rigorous workload (4+ levels of 5/6 instruction daily)

· Comfortable differentiating instruction for both resource students and highly gifted students

· Passion for excellence in mathematics education

Education and Experience
-Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education
-Properly endorsed for 5th/6th grade Math
-Math Emphasis preferred
-Must possess a valid Nebraska teaching license
