Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Duchesne Academy seeks a detailed, organized, creative, relationship-oriented professional for the part-time
position of Admissions Assistant. This position supports the development and execution of recruiting and
admissions related initiatives and activities, including the data management of the Admissions Office. This
includes administrative and logistical support, as well as articulating the Mission and programs of Duchesne
Academy through effective dissemination of recruiting materials, creative events planning and execution in
partnership with Duchesne Academy’s Admissions Director. Must be able to adapt to changing responsibilities
and maintain absolute confidentiality and is expected to use professional judgment in carrying out routine
duties and responsibilities.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Major Responsibilities:
• Accept and live the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education
• Assist with summer camp planning and coordination
• Assist with school recruitment visits as needed
• Assist with community outreach and events
• Assist with planning, material purchasing and set up for recruitment events
• Assist with shadow greeting/send off as needed
• Assist with database management
• Assist with creation and packing of recruitment materials for various projects and events
• Create/write/send follow up cards to prospective students after shadow visits
• Lead organizer Math Field Day and Elementary Art show
• Attend admissions/recruitment events as needed
• Performs other duties as assigned as requested by the Admissions Director or Head of School

Education and Experience
Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
preferred
Experience: 3+ years of work experience in a recruitment, business development or event planning
environment preferred
Required Skills: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and a proven ability to build
relationships
Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds and sustain periods of standing and walking
Schedule: Part-Time, roughly 20 hours per week
