Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Columbkille Catholic School in Papillion is looking for an enthusiastic, child-centered professional to serve as Director of Crusader Care. Crusader Care is our before and after school program for students in PK-8th grade. We are fully licensed by DHHS and serve approximately 45-50 children each day.

The director position is full time, but it’s somewhat flexible (30-40 hours per week). Program hours are 6:30-7:45 AM and 3:00-6:00 PM on school days. We’re open year round, and our summer hours are 7:30 AM-5:30 PM. We have limited availability during Christmas Break and Spring Break.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must be knowledgeable and understanding of social and emotional norms for children ages 4-14
Enjoys working with children in a play-based child care program
Communicates well with parents, staff, and children
Is able to plan and organize activities, manage paperwork, budget and plan for snacks (and meals during summer months)
Maintains paperwork required for DHHS licensure and communicates effectively with school administration and DHHS staff

Education and Experience
Qualified applicants will hold a Bachelor’s Degree (with at least 6 credit hours in early childhood education), Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, or have a minimum of 3,000 clock hours working with children in a school or child care center or other organized program for youth. Employees must also become Safe Environment Certified and pass a background check.
