Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. James/Seton is currently accepting applications for a full-time faculty position teaching in our junior high.
Teacher, Junior High, grades 7 and 8, Science.

SJS is a faith-filled and dynamic school, dedicated to helping students reach their full potential. SJS offers an environment of high expectations combined with Catholic values.

Instructional Duties
-Incorporate all of the standards established by the Archdiocese of Omaha and Nebraska Department of Education.
-Demonstrate a desire to meaningfully integrate technology into the classroom.
-Employ a variety of teaching models to engage different learning styles.
-Demonstrate a continuous effort to improve instructional effectiveness.
-Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, instructional strategies, and student abilities.
-Maintain student records accurately, neatly, and keep them current.
-Utilize a variety of assessments and use data in the classroom to develop lessons and instructional activities as needed

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Must possess a valid Nebraska Teaching Certificate or the ability to obtain one prior to August 2023
-Safe Environment Trained, or prior to start of the school year
-Must have a positive and flexible mindset
-Willingness to integrate Catholic attitudes and values into subject area

Education and Experience
-Must possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in education
