Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Mary Our Queen School is seeking a qualified individual to support our growing early childhood education program.

Job Description:
-Work cooperatively with the lead teacher to implement lessons and activities
-Effectively observes assigned work hours - maintaining a pattern of prompt and regular attendance
-Guide and direct work of students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning
-Assist teacher in implementing classroom procedures and routines
-Ensure students follow school and class rules
-Effectively able to supervise and support students in the classroom, collaboration area, lunchroom, and during recess
-Assist teacher in preparing necessary materials for lessons
-Maintains a cooperative working relationship with Principal, lead classroom teacher, staff, and public
-Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality
-Performs other duties as assigned by Principal or lead teacher
-Communicates clearly and positively with students and all stakeholders.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Experience as a paraprofessional, teaching assistant, or similar position preferred.
- Experience working with preschool or elementary-aged students.
-Excellent communication and organizational skills.
-Proficient with technology.

Education and Experience
High school degree or equivalent; Associate degree in education or a related field preferred
Safe Environment Certified
