Principal Duties and Responsibilities

models the Sacred Heart Goals and Criteria;

incorporates the Goals and Criteria into course content and classroom activities and upholds school philosophy and policies;

exhibits professionalism in demeanor, dress, and relationships with students and colleagues; practices professional discretion;

continually re-evaluates course outlines, teaching objectives, evaluation tools in the light of new experience, research in teaching, and direction from Principal;

completes requirements for professional growth through college work, conferences, and other professional experiences;

varies teaching methodology to reach diversity in learning styles and to integrate technology in the classrooms;

listens to students and is approachable and available for conferences with students and parents;

enforces school and classroom rules;
is punctual to class, meetings, and school events; attends Mass and all required activities;

writes letters of recommendation for students' college and scholarship applications; contacts parents when there are concerns about the academic progress of a student; and

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Must hold or be eligible for a Nebraska teaching certificate with an endorsement in high school Spanish;
Must have a high degree of fluency in Spanish
