Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Teach 5th grade math and science classes in accordance with curriculum standards and communicate with parents and school administration related to student performance and student needs. The successful candidate will facilitate student success and growth in academic areas, as well as social-emotional, and spiritual areas. The successful candidate will also build positive relationships with students, families, and staff.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to work with 5th grade students in a homeroom classroom environment; be effective in achieving curriculum standards in both math and science; ensure student progress both academically and socially; implement best practice teaching strategies and student intervention actions; communicate effectively with team members in a classroom and school environment.

Education and Experience
- Undergraduate degree in elementary education and teaching certificate (or a provisional license)
- Safe Environment Certified
-Demonstrates a willingness to learn, grow, and improve as a teacher through professional development, mentorship, and administrative guidance
-Work collaboratively with other teachers
-Maintain a positive attitude with all stakeholders.
- Effectively manage a classroom and attend to all homeroom expectations
