Principal Duties and Responsibilities
* Introduce students to the language and culture of Spanish through engaging lessons and activities.* Help students develop fundamental Spanish language skills and grow in their Faith through children’s literature, thematic units, prayers, group activities, and independent practice.
*Create a safe and positive learning environment for all students of all backgrounds and abilities
*Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them succeed
*Connect student experiences to world-wide Spanish language and culture
*Introduce art, music and movement to engage students and help them acquire language skills
*Collaborate with classroom and Specials teachers to ensure balanced curriculum to meet the needs of all students
Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities*Ability to work with students of grade levels 2nd - 8th
*Undergraduate degree in Education
*Basic knowledge of Spanish language and culture
*Effectively maintain classroom expectations and a positive attitude with all stakeholders
Education and Experience
Nebraska Teaching Certificate (or in process of becoming certified)
Safe Environment Trained
