Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities include record keeping for the before and after school program. The director is also responsible for the direct supervision of Extended Day staff and ensuring all staff have the required trainings and certifications for a DHHS licensed child care operation.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ideal candidate will enjoy working with children in an afterschool setting and providing a warm atmosphere at the beginning and end of the school day. The director should have the ability to maintain a safe environment, manage a staff of three teacher associates and communicate with parents on a regular basis. Additionally, the director is tasked with managing the documentation for licensure and insurance purposes. Must pass a background check.

Education and Experience
Experience is preferred but not required. A background in education or child care and child development is a plus. We are looking for a team-builder who has excellent communication skills, is highly organized and willing to be Safe Environment certified.
