Reports to: Principal

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Collaboration with administrators, teachers, and parents in caring for students.
Teach classroom Guidance lessons to classrooms.
Support teachers with the use of the SEL curriculum.
Actively participating on committees that support the growth of students, staff and families.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The ability to respond effectively to the needs of a diverse student and parent population.
The ability to collaborate with colleagues, including teachers and administrators.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Preference for experience with counseling and educational technology.

Education and Experience
Master’s degree in counseling or in progress with achieving that degree.
Valid Nebraska teaching certificate with an endorsement in K-8 guidance or the ability to obtain one before August 2024.
Completion of Safe Environment training before August of 2024.
