Principal Duties and Responsibilities

St. Margaret Mary, a K-8 elementary school in the heart of Omaha, seeks a middle school math teacher for the 2024-25 school year. This position is teaching Math and Advanced Math coursework to students in middle school (grades 6th-8th). Our students are dedicated, looking to the future, and eager to learn. A strong background in teaching Algebra or a willingness to learn is desired. We are looking for someone who is student-centered, seeks knowledge and professional development, and would be collaborative with a strong and innovative middle school teaching team.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
A middle school or secondary endorsement in math preferred, but a strong math background within a K-8 elementary endorsement could also be the right fit. Knowledge and proficient use of Google Classroom management software would be expected. We are looking for a candidate strong in math and an aptitude to work with 6th grade math, pre-algebra and algebra curricula. Team player desired who can become a valued member of our core middle school team. Ability to work within the Facts SIS system, or willingness to learn. Position open until filled.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree required, valid NE teaching certificate in appropriate endorsement areas, or ability to get certified.
