Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Mary Our Queen, a PreK-8, Cognia and state accredited Catholic school, seeks a qualified 6th grade teacher for the 2024-25 school year. MOQ is a faith-filled and dynamic school, dedicated to forming students of faith, service and academic excellence.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
The teacher will:
-Create a nurturing and supportive classroom environment where all students feel safe, welcome and valued
-Set high classroom expectation in all areas
-Develop and implement daily lesson plans as part of a long-term scope and sequence aligned to the Archdiocese curriculum/Nebraska state standards
-Utilize a variety of assessments and use data in the classroom to develop lessons and instructional activities
-Effectively communicate with parents and school staff on student progress
-Work cooperatively and effectively collaborate with grade level team
-Employ a variety of teaching models to engage different learning styles and ability levels
-Integrate the Catholic faith into all subjects and school environment

Education and Experience
-Valid NE Teacher Certificate
-Bachelor's of Science Degree - Elementary Education
-Safe Environment Trained (Or willing to be trained)
