Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This position is teaching Math and Advanced Math coursework to students in middle school (grades 6th-8th). Our students are dedicated, looking to the future, and eager to learn. A strong background in teaching Algebra or a willingness to learn is desired. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Middle Level (5-9) or Secondary (7-12) endorsement in Math preferred
- Knowledge and proficient use of Google Classroom, Sycamore, IXL and other Math applications or software.
- Strong, team-oriented individual with the ability to incorporate Catholic Social Teachings with the classroom.
- Ability to implement and modify approved curriculum for diverse learners in Foundations of Algebra, Pre-Algebra & Algebra 1
- Demonstrate a desire to meaningfully integrate technology into the classroom.
- Employ a variety of teaching models to engage different learning styles and ability levels.
- Prepare motivating and stimulating lessons that reflect knowledge of the curriculum, instructional strategies, and student abilities.
- Encourage an inclusive classroom that accepts the different perspectives and backgrounds of the students and elicits a greater understanding of the world around them.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree required
- Valid NE teaching certificate in appropriate endorsement areas, or ability to become certified
