Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Technology Integration Facilitator supports the development and use of technology as a tool to support teaching and learning. The primary focus of the Technology Integration Facilitator is to serve as teacher, co-teacher, and mentor. S/he will work directly with teaching staff to implement technology use that meets curricular standards and strengthens teaching and learning, and lead teachers in professional development. Additionally, the facilitator will promote innovation, cross-curricular collaboration, and foster purposeful, meaningful, and creative use of technology. Qualified applicants will enjoy sharing faith and building community with staff and students in grades PS-8.


Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
-Teach digital citizenship to K-8 students, and promote continued development and implementation of the digital citizenship
program.
-Teach and/or facilitate online educational programs for middle school students.
-Be a resource for staff in the development of assignments, assessments, units, projects, etc. that meet both curricular and technology standards.
-Partner with classroom teachers to meet individual and grade level goals based on data analysis by implementing best practices in technology and instruction.
-Coordinate professional development that provides opportunities for staff to grow in instructional practice and confidence when using technology.
-Empower teachers to independently incorporate technology for improved student learning.
-Be a consistent presence in locations where technology is used.
-Model effective use of technology in the classroom for teachers and students.
-Research and propose new ways to enhance teaching and learning using the latest programs, applications, and trends in educational technology.
-Act as a central participant in the development of the school’s vision for technology.
-Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience
-Must be certified to teach in the state of Nebraska
-Must be able to pass a background check and complete Safe Environment Certification
-Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree optional.
-Three to five years of experience in education; three years in the classroom (or any equivalent combination of training and
experience) desired but not required.
-Current knowledge of available and emerging educational technologies.
-Has some experience and comfort working with student information systems and programs commonly used in schools (Go
Guardian, FACTS, Google Suite, MacOS, iOs, etc.)
-Strong knowledge and experience using adult education pedagogy to effectively work with adult learners.
-Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding classroom and interpersonal matters and matters related to data privacy
laws.
-Possesses a professional attitude when dealing with others that contributes to the improvement of education and cohesion
within the learning community.
-Effective organizational, leadership, and communication skills (both oral and written).
