Principal Duties and Responsibilities

All Saints Catholic School is accepting applications to teach Pre-Kindergarten for the 2024-2025 school year. The Pre-Kindergarten teacher plays a pivotal role in providing a nurturing, educational, and spiritually enriching learning environment for our youngest students. This role involves creating lesson plans, fostering early childhood development, incorporating Catholic teachings, and collaborating with parents and staff to ensure a holistic educational experience.

The individual selected for this role will:
Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans.

Integrate Catholic teachings, values, and traditions into daily activities and lessons.

Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Employ various teaching strategies and resources to support diverse learning styles.

Manage classroom activities, transitions, and behavior effectively, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere.

Assess students’ progress through observations, evaluations, and formal assessments.

Effectively observes assigned work hours-maintaining a pattern of prompt and regular attendance.

Maintains a cooperative working relationship with the Principal, staff, and public.

Demonstrates ethical behavior and confidentiality.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Patience, creativity, and a passion for early childhood education.

Being a team player and flexible.

Excellent communication skills.

Serve as a positive role model, guiding students in moral and ethical development.

Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment.

Knowledge of Creative Curriculum preferred.

Education and Experience
A valid Nebraska teaching certificate or provisional Nebraska teaching certificate with a bachelor's degree in Education from an accredited college.

Experience working with young children in an education setting, preferably in a Catholic or faith-based environment.

Must complete Safe Environment training through the archdiocese, including a background check. (required)
