Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This individual will promote the charisms of the Sisters of Mercy and implement the Mercy High School mission through the athletic department of the school. The athletic director is responsible for the management and supervision of seven girls varsity sports and two cooperative sports as well as extracurriculars. Some teaching duties may be required.Requirements
Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesMercy High School, an all-girls Catholic high school founded by the Sisters of Mercy, is seeking an athletic director for the 2024-2025 academic year. Ideal candidates will hold or be able to attain Nebraska Secondary School Administration certification for grades 7-12 and will hold a current Nebraska teaching certificate for grades 7-12.

Desired Skills:
• Superb written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong rapport with students, faculty, staff, and parents
• Attention to detail and strong record-keeping skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google suite
• Knowledge and understanding of NSAA policies, procedures and requirements
Requirements and Qualifications:
• Committed to the mission of Mercy High School and able to articulate it to all stakeholders
• Master’s Degree (or higher) from an accredited college or university and holds a Nebraska School Administrative Certificate with a 7-12 endorsement
• Nebraska Teaching Certificate with a grades 7-12 endorsement
• Experience working with a diverse student population at the secondary level is preferred.
• Coaching at the secondary level is preferred.
Education and Experience
