Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Advancement Assistant is responsible for assisting the Director of Advancement in executing, a comprehensive plan to advance the mission, brand, and impact of Madonna School & Community-Based Services across the Greater Omaha Metro area and the Archdiocese of Omaha. The Advancement Assistant is overseen by the Director of Advancement and partners closely with the Director of Administration, School Administrative Assistant, and dedicated volunteers, donors and community partners who work tirelessly to serve individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.

•Manage Raiser’s Edge, the constituent/donor platform. This includes managing day-to-day gifts, gift acknowledgement for campaigns and appeals, updating constituent records, running queries and other reports as needed.

•Provide primary support to the Director of Advancement for Madonna’s signature events - Madonnapalooza, Madonna Golf Classic, and Celebration Gala – as well as any other special events. This support includes management of BidPal/OneCause auction software (entering auction items, ticket sales, RSVPs, etc.), entering all event information into Raiser’s Edge, and sending appropriate tax acknowledgement letters at the conclusion of each event.

•Day-to-day point of contact for the leadership team of the Madonna Council and the Madonna Junior Council (Madonna’s ladies guilds).

•Provide various support activities including assisting with mailings, correspondence with donors, grants management, and other appeals that will aid in fundraising.

•Coordinate with the Administrative Assistant and Director of Administration to ensure the front office area is always covered, and assist in answering the main phone line, monitor the front door, greet and help guests at the front desk.

•Assist with other front office administrative duties as they arise.

•Proficiency in Microsoft Office required, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, Word, and mail/e-mail merges via Excel & Word required.

•Experience with BidPal (One Cause) strongly preferred.

Education and Experience
•High School Diploma required. A bachelor’s degree preferred.

•Experience working in a school/service agency/non-profit setting and/or with youth and adults with diverse abilities preferred.
