Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Guardian Angels Central Catholic School is seeking qualified applicants for a K-12 Music teacher for the 2021-22 school year. The teacher will work daily in a Catholic faith-filled teaching environment to form and develop students. The teacher must set high classroom expectations. The teacher will also be expected to collaborate with their peers as well as work with alongside staff to plan school musical programs and other music-related events and clubs.

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Knowledge of traditional and modern theory and techniques required to compose, produce, and perform works of music
*Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and teaching design, instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of teaching effects
*Selecting and using instructional methods and procedures appropriate for specific situations
*Monitoring and assessing of self and student performances to make improvements
*Motivating, encouraging, and directing others toward educational goals
*Ability to explain musical concepts in multiple ways and using multiple methods
*Ability to arrange things in a certain order or pattern according to a specific rule or set of rules (e.g., musical scores)

Education and Experience
•Nebraska Teaching Certificate, endorsement in music
•Safe Environment Training certificate
